The History of Lucharilla.com
Dan aka 0311 and Scott aka Sandblaster are friends who share a love of training. Having been moderators on various strength training sites, they decided to start a place of their own to dispense their latest thoughts on training, nutrition and life in general.
We decided to create this place for many reasons. We like to think of this place as our little slice of Heaven to let our hair down (kind of hard for Scott though) and let our thoughts be known, without having to see the eventual 170 lb. “expert” trying to poke holes in our accomplishments that’s commonplace on discussion boards. As with everything in life, places change and people come and go. If the Marine Corps taught Dan anything, it’s to always adapt and overcome. We’ve decided it’s finally time to stake our claim as partners in crime and start getting back to what once was: serious discussions about all things big and small.
Anything goes within reason. We’d like to think that anyone who spends a moment here with us will leave better for it. If that means getting your training back on track, clearing up misconceptions about nutrition, SIMPLIFYING everything for you, then Lucharilla has served its purpose. That is why we are doing this.
Scott has more or less retired from the online realm, but he still haunts Lucharilla.com on occasion.
Who we are…
Dan lives in California and is a former Marine and has close to 12 years of training experience. He was personally trained by one of DC’s protege’s and has worked with other professionals in the field include Alan Aragon, Josh Bryant, and Wesley Silveira. He is currently working on a hybrid system that combines serious conditioning work and raw strength training. The results so far have been amazing in terms of bodyfat reduction, cardiovascular improvement, and strength gains.
