For the past few months following my surgery, I’ve dusted off my juicer and have been slugging down all types of fruits and veggies I normally wouldn’t be able to eat an abundance of due to personal taste (why choke down a bag of celery and cucumbers when you can slug it down and move on?). Energy levels are through the roof and I’ve been getting back to the gym 4 days per week (very cautiously!). While there’s pharmaceuticals and over the counter medicines to combat things from anxiety, digestive issues, or even arthritis, I’ve found a very good reminder that nature provides us with everything we need.

Glad to see you are back at it Dan. I would be interested to see how many legitimate health issues were still there if people ate the unprocessed healthy foods they were designed to eat and thrive on.
Great list. Going to have to try adding some of these other things.
I get tired of seeing the same people sick all the time or complaining about certain issues and then you look at their lifestyle and its horrible. The body is an amazing creation to say the least.
Pretty decent list!
On the subject of Arthritides… there have been a good number of arthritis (name one, doesn’t really matter they are basically all the same) patients who come through the clinic here that are sick of their medication/side effects of the medication, change there diet (paleo, anti-inflammatory based), take some key inflammation supplements (vit D, Mag, EPA/DHA, ginger, turmeric being the biggies but there are many more you can take) and end up off their medication and feeling the best they have ever felt.
Unfortunately, “conservative care” takes a WHOLE lot more effort than taking pills and such. The body a number of times will fix itself if you give it the tools too (or stop getting in its way)
Absolutely D. Guess what the number one prescribed medicine in America is?… Antidepressants. I’d be willing to bet dollars to doughnuts those are the same people that hit up McD’s on their way to work.. And who could blame them. There’s one every other block!
What you put into your body is what you’ll get. Eating the rainbow of fruits, varying meat sources, and focusing on as many green veggies as possible remains key.
The one takeaway here and a good rule of thumb is to only shop on the OUTSIDE aisles of the grocery store (pesticides and whatnot not withstanding).
